On-Camera video introducers wanted

Need some practice in front of the camera? Or just want to dabble on camera for the fun of it? La Vie Sirene e-magazine has just introduced a new format, trading its full layout for a blog version inclusive of video intros. And since many of those who submit their art and written work would rather be caught dead than appear on camera, they need outside help for the on-air intros.

Requirements include the ability to film a 1-5 minute video (yes, using your phone is fine) and uploading it to Dropbox or Youtube so the magazine's editor can download it and fiddle with it.  You'll be provided with a script that you can read or use for reference, and your video will be posted on the magazine's blog, with links on Facebook and Twitter.

There is no pay. We're a nonprofit.
Costumes encouraged to go with the given theme, btw ...

Crossings... of fingers

I just submitted a cherished project to Kickstarter—Crossings - a first class theatrical experience.  It's been gathering dust on the drawing board for 18 years, which I suppose means it's finally 'legal.'  Here is how it's described on Kickstarter:
Crossings picks up where environmental shows like the 10 year run of TAMARA - the popular play you follow from room to room, leave off. Audience members will not just sit in a theater. They will become part of the story.
The play depicts a transatlantic crossing of the historic Queen Mary cruise ship, which serves as the set & theater. Audience members will have the opportunity to relive what it would be like to travel during the golden age of cruiseliners.
With 3 different ticket & experience options -- 1st, 2nd & 3rd class -- the production not only accommodates various budgets, but different interests. Want to stomp with the steerage after hours? A 3rd class ticket should do the trick. Prefer to hobnob among the elite, dressed to the nines? Travel first class.
Once the project is a go, we intend to offer incentives to bring prior guests back over and over, to experience different aspects of the story as well as class levels. We would love to become a permanent installation at the Queen Mary.
If you are wealthy (or intoxicated) and wish to help fund this brave new production with a donation, please by all means give into that temptation here and now.

In fact I'll offer the same donor perqs here, should you want to get fancy
  • $25 donation— Name & thanks in program
  • $100 donation— One 3rd-class ticket. Includes dinner & show Saturday night
  • $200 donation—  One 2nd-class ticket. Includes Saturday evening appetizers & interaction, Saturday night dinner & performance, Sunday morning character interaction
  • $300 donation— One 1st-class ticket. Includes Friday night character interaction, Saturday morning breakfast & character interaction, Saturday evening appetizers & interaction, Saturday night dinner & performance, Sunday morning character interaction
  • $1,000 donation— 2 VIP - Very Important Passenger tickets.
